Ryan Garrison
Magic Captain
Ryan Garrison is proud to join the Rob Lake tour. Ryan's formal training is in musical theatre where he has enjoyed principal roles in shows such as High School Musical, Sound of Music, Footloose, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and more. Ryan has worked backstage for numerous productions including the national tours of Cirque Dreams and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Brent Goble
Illusion Technician
Brent has worked with Rob Lake Magic Inc. since 2004. Regional theatre credits include Kiss Me Kate and Thoroughly Modern Millie at Flat Rock Playhouse and Oklahoma!, The Producers, Chicago, and All Shook Up from Surflight Theatre. Bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre at Oklahoma City University, and appeared in productions such as Urban Cowboy, A Streetcar Named Desire and Urinetown.
Megan Zellefrow
Dancer
Megan Zellefrow was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, but has called Dallas, Texas home since she was 12. She began her dance career at the ripe age of 4 and has never stopped. Over the years, she has won numerous awards in both solo and group competitions. Megan attended Collin County Community College on a dance scholarship and received her Associate of Arts Degree in Dance. Megan continued her dance education at the University of Oklahoma with a Modern Dance Scholarship. At OU, she danced with Contemporary Dance Oklahoma and participated in residences with Mark Dendy, Christopher Huggins, and Taylor 2. Megan graduated in December 2007 with honors and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Modern Dance Performance. She has been a beloved instructor at Dallas Ballet Center since 2003. She has taught modern, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre and ballet. Megan has been inspired over the years by many talented performers and hopes to do the same.
Kristen Stanley
Dancer
Kristen Stanley has studied Dance Performance at Oklahoma City University. A member of the American Spirit Dance Company and directed by Jo Rowan, Kristen has performed in the Spring Shows as well as the "Home for the Holidays" Christmas Shows. Originally from Texas, she performed with Houston's Theatre Under the Stars in shows including Brigadoon and A Chorus Line.
Donovan Kosters
Production Manager
Donovan Kosters is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and began working in theatrical production as a teen. Donovan began studying electrical engineering at the University of Oklahoma, but after three years he changed his focus to Film and Video Studies where he was able to further explore his interest in stage production as well as film production. It was during these years at the University that Rob Lake and Donovan first met. They were instantly aware of each other's talent and sought to help one another advance in their area of interest. Donovan began traveling with Rob as the Technical Director of his show. Eventually Donovan became the show's Production Manager. When not on the road with Rob, Donovan is based in Los Angeles. He has worked to produce various film festivals for many years in Los Angeles and abroad including the Los Angeles Film Festival, AFI Film Festival, and the Bahamas International Film Festival. Donovan currently is one of the most sought after Post-Production Supervisors for DVD added values & content, and documentaries, as he oversees all aspects of post-production for major DVD releases.
Danielle Black
Backstage Manager
Danielle first met Rob onboard the MS Westerdam, and was excited when he invited her to work on his full show. She has been working professionally in entertainment for nearly 14 years and has occupied many positions both backstage and FOH. Most recently she has been an Asst. Electrician for Disney On Ice and the Rigging/Automation Technician on board Holland America Line's Vista Class cruise ships. She joined the ships after graduating from Capilano College's Film and Video Program.
Kirby VanBurch
Executive Producer
Kirby VanBurch starred on NBC, in multi-million dollar showrooms in Las Vegas and Reno, and repeat Royal Command performances for crowned heads in Asia and Europe. For the past 16 years, Kirby has performed nightly at his own theatre in Branson. Producer credits include: New York, Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, Branson, Pigeon Forge, Malaysia, Japan, Aruba and Thailand. Kirby introduced Rob Lake to magic over 15 years ago and soon became his mentor. Kirby now serves as executive producer of Rob Lake's award-winning production.
Tiffany Schranck
Dance Captain
Tiffany Schranck is absolutely delighted to be performing once again in A Night of Magic with Rob Lake. She has been a lover of magic ever since she was a child and always dreamed of being a part of it herself. Her love of dance since the age of three has given her many years of formal training at multiple studios. She competed many years with Larkin Dance Studio while also assisting and teaching. Tiffany has also received many awards and scholarships at multiple dance conventions and has worked with top choreographers such as Michele Larkin, Mia Michaels, Dee Caspary, Tyce Diorio and Ray Leeper. She has performed in many different shows around the world including many tours with Rob Lake, "V" at the Aladdin in Las Vegas, opening the Rose Bowl Parade in 2007 and dancing in many events of the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular with guests such as Toby Keith. She would like to thank her family and friends for the extreme amount of love and encouragement she has been given throughout the years. Her dreams would never have come true without them. "Love you all!"
Monika Guiberteau
Dancer
Monika Guiberteau is from Louisiana, where she began as a gymnast, but later found her passion for dance when she turned 12 years old. Since then she has trained in ballet, tap and jazz. She began as a competitor in dance competitions where she won a number of titles such as Miss Global Dance International, Miss Nexstar, and Miss DanceXplosion. She competed in the Our Little Miss Pageant where she won World's Ideal Miss. She has choreographed the production number for the International Pageant for the last two years. She attended Oklahoma City University where she became a member of the American Spirit Dance Company. She has performed in the OCU Choreography Show, OCU Christmas Show, OCU Spring Show, Oklahoma Regatta, and was a dancer on the televised Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular Show. She began working for Rob Lake in year 2007. She finds being a magician's assistant a very exciting job.
Melisssa Manning
Dancer
Since her graduation from Oklahoma City University, Melissa has been fortunate to dance all over the world. She has toured the US, Taiwan, and has most recently worked in Japan for Tokyo Disneyland. Recent Credits include: Rose Parade 2007 Opening Number with Kristin Chenoweth, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma!, and Hansel and Gretel at various regional theatres. Although a native of North Carolina, Melissa currently resides in NYC and follows performing wherever it takes her.
Emily Hector
Dancer
Emily Hector has been dancing since age three. She is a 2006 graduate of Oklahoma City University with a BPA in dance performance. Emily has danced for Celebrity Cruises traveling the South Pacific. She's performed with Believe Productions in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and spent a Christmas season dancing in the Shoji Tabuchi Show in Branson, Missouri. Emily has also performed with various dance teams and dance companies including the OKC Yard Dawgz Arena Football dance team, American Spirit Dance Company, Ballet Oklahoma, OCU Pep Dancers and Spirit of Grace. She has teaching and choreography experience and has won various awards and competitions. When Emily is not dancing she enjoys traveling and aviation. Emily flew her first solo at 12:01am on her sixteenth birthday making her "The Youngest Female to Fly Solo" following the footsteps of her brother. One year later, Emily received her Private Pilots license and has continued flying ever since. Emily has had a love for magic since she was a little girl and is proud to be a part of Rob Lake Magic.
Sarah Behrens
Dancer
Sarah Behrens loves to perform and entertain. She has traveled across the country dancing and training for many years. She has studied various styles of dance from musical theatre to hip-hop. Sarah enjoys working with Rob Lake and the crew and loves to be a part of the magic!
Jim Smithson
Co-Creator/Co-Director
Rob & Jim first met when Jim was teaching a magic class at Rob’s middle school. Jim soon became Rob’s mentor, and for more than 16 years worked closely with Rob developing his skill, presentation, art, and career. For over 30 years Jim was one of the top comedy magicians in the USA, recognized for his disarming humor and magic at corporate and industrial events, The Magic Castle, on cruises, and theatres nationwide. Jim was the co-creator and co-director with Rob on his theatrical show, A Night of Magic, and helped create many of the illusions in the show. For numerous years, Jim toured as the co-star of the show, and served as Rob’s business manager. Jim’s contributions to the Rob Lake show will live on forever in our fond memories, and Jim is deeply missed by the entire Rob Lake Magic family.
